This is a recording of an earthquake variously reported as being in Tonga or Samoa.
The recording is 40 minutes from the British seismological station at Futuna, approximately 500km from the epicentre. It is sped up 240 times.
The video is in plan view: north is up, south is down, west is left, east is right. North-south is in the right audio channel, west-east in the left.
The recording is notable for the sustained very low frequency signal with a period of around 14 seconds which may indicate significant underground magmatic movement or volcanic eruption.
